Which Bender family details are correct?
Contemporary reports disagree about Craig’s father’s name and the family’s permanent residence. Census, directory, and vital records could resolve that conflict. The reported recovery distance alone cannot identify an exact site.
What did the Brooksbrae inquest establish?
The deaths are documented, but the sheriff’s reconstruction should not become a forensic conclusion through repetition. An inquest return or coroner’s record would be stronger evidence than another newspaper retelling.
Can the Italian judgment be recovered?
