Bridget Hickey

19 April 1875 – 8 July 1963

Bridget Elizabeth Hickey was born at Ipswich, Queensland, on 19 April 1875, a daughter of John Hickey of Limerick Junction and Ellen Condon. In 1907 she married **Michael Francis Rodgers** and at least nine children followed in twelve years. **She buried two of them small** — Patrick Joseph at two in 1914 and William John at eight in 1920. One of the last two, born in 1919, became a **Christian Brother**. She died at Ipswich on 8 July 1963, aged eighty-eight.
