She died at Ipswich on 20 January 1934, aged seventy-one, and is buried in the Roman Catholic section of Ipswich General Cemetery.

- Whether she married Peter McGreevy
- Whether the reported parents and children are correct
- [THIS PAGE CARRIED THREE DIFFERENT BIRTHDAYS] Her birth date field said 27 October 1862, her own summary said 6 October 1862, and the Queensland birth registration — 1862/C/644 — says 6 November 1862. Three dates for one woman, two of them on the same page, and nobody had noticed. The registration wins and the other two are gone. The index also calls her simply Mary, not Mary Ann. The fuller form is kept here as her recorded name because that is how she appears in later life, but the registration of her birth says Mary.
- Search Queensland marriage indexes under McGreevy/McGreavy/Magreevy and obtain the death certificate only after an exact registration is located.
- Dates here come from a Find a Grave memorial rather than from the Queensland register itself. The registration would confirm them.
- [MERGED 7 August 2026] This person had been entered twice — as `mary-ann-hickey-1862` and as `mary-ann-hickey-mcgreevy` — when the Queensland families were built out from Find a Grave without first checking the names already in the archive. The two records are one person and are now joined; the old address redirects.
