The funeral of Capt. Dennis Leahey, who died on Friday afternoon of last week, took place on Monday with requiem mass at St. Mary's church. Captain Leahey was an old and highly respected resident of Bayonne for many years. He was formerly engaged in boating between the Port Johnson docks and New York. He was the father of fourteen children, ten of whom with his widow survive him. They are Mrs. Patrick Gorman, Misses Catherine and Nora Leahey, James, Matthew, Dennis, Francis, Malachi, Peter and Michael Leahey. Six of his sons acted as pallbearers. Interment was in Hudson County Catholic cemetery.
