James Leahey, of 135 W. 9th St., a Bayonne resident for the past 70 years, died yesterday at his home after a short illness. Mr. Leahey was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Bayonne Exempt Firemen's Association. He was born in Syracuse, N. Y. The husband of the late Mary Mullins, he is survived by three sons, James, Jr., John and Fire Capt. William Leahey;

The funeral will be held Monday morning from the home, and a solemn high requiem mass will be offered at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
