- [HER BAPTISM YEAR IS IMPOSSIBLE, AND THE ERROR IS FAMILYSEARCH'S] Her baptism is indexed at Castlelyons on 10 March 1870, which cannot be: her sister Ellen was born thirty-two days later and Ellen's date is confirmed by the civil register image. Her own civil birth is 8 March 1872 at Rathcarrig. Read as 1872 the baptism falls two days after the birth, which is what this family did. An earlier note here blamed the archive for mistranscribing the year; that was wrong. The individual record permalink shows FamilySearch indexes it as 1870, and the archive copied it faithfully. The collection has no images, so the register page can only be checked at the National Library of Ireland.
- Preserve both spellings: the archive normalizes the name as Hannah, while the original civil row reads Hanna. Kate Browne’s relationship is not stated.
- Kate Brown appears at two of these births. She was present when Ellen was born at Mohera in April 1870 and again when Hanna was born at Rathcarrig in March 1872, and she made her mark both times. Twice is not a coincidence in a family that otherwise registered its own children: she was most likely the woman who attended Mary Ryan's confinements. Her surname was misread as "Condon" in the index to the 1870 entry, which is where this archive's search for a collateral Kate Condon came from.
