- [STILL OPEN] The certificate names the cemetery but not the grave, the section, or whose plot it is. She has no memorial of her own: a full search of Old St Raymond's returns forty-one Farley memorials and none is hers, so she lies in an unmarked grave or in someone else's. St Raymond's cemetery office can give the section and grave, and the name of the plot's owner, from its interment book — and the owner's name is the thing worth having, because it would say which family took her in.
- The certificate records the undertaker's name and address in West 143rd Street. An undertaker's ledger, if it survives, would name the plot and who paid.
- [CANDIDATE ELIMINATED] Her aunt Anne Cooney's family are not the answer. Anne's son Michael Joseph Cawley died six weeks after Helen, on 5 August 1921, and his death certificate buries him at Calvary Cemetery in Queens — a different ground from Helen's St Raymond's in the Bronx. Whoever owned the grave she was laid in, it was not the Cawleys.
