Patrick Gorman, an Esso annuitant, died Wednesday night at his home, 27 East 3rd Street, after a long illness. Born in Bayonne, he attended the old St. Mary's School on Evergreen Street. He retired in 1938 from Esso Standard Oil Company [where he was employed as a …er in the Case and Can Department — text damaged and only partly legible]. Gorman was … years old … his wife … died in 1944.”] Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Corcoran and Mrs. Catherine Foster; three sons, John J. and Michael A. of Bayonne, and William P. of Cranford; one brother, William; and one sister, Hannah; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Gorman was a member of St. Andrew's Holy Name Society, the Esso Federation; and the Pensioners and Quarter Century Clubs of Esso. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Mrs. Mary H. Gorman died at her residence, 87 Lord Ave., Thursday evening. She was a resident of Bayonne for the past 63 years. Survivors are her husband, Patrick Gorman; two daughters, Anna E. and Catherine; three sons, John J., William V., and Michael A., all of Bayonne; one sister, Miss Catherine Leahey; four brothers, James, Dennis, Malachy, and Peter Leahey, as well as 15 grandchildren, all of Bayonne.Show the full articleHide the full articleFull article, about 150 words
A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church at 9 a. m. and interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Mrs. Gorman, who was a member of St. Andrew's Mount Carmel Society, was born in Syracuse, New York. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thomas F. Dempsey.

Relatives and friends, also Bayonne Exxon Annuitance Club are invited to attend the funeral from the KEGALMAN AND ROUTH Funeral Home, 26 Greenville Avenue, Jersey City on Saturday, May 9 at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass, St. Paul's Church, 9:30 a.m. Interment, Holy Name Cemetery.
