Timeline

Compiled birth year and County Longford place

[COMPILED] The memorial gives 1882 in County Longford; the existing archive evidence establishes Ireland but not this year or county. [7]

From our family tree - no record found yet

Approximate arrival in Bayonne

Her fifty-year Bayonne residence implies arrival about 1892–1895; the year is not printed. [1]

From our family tree - no record found yet

Compiled marriage year

[COMPILED] The memorial spouse field says Margaret married Malachy in 1904. [7]

70 Humphreys Avenue mapped as frame dwelling

The 1912 map spells the street “Humphreys Ave.” and shows a 2½-storey frame dwelling at no. 70. Margaret’s 1942 notice and the current address use singular “Humphrey,” documenting a name change without demonstrated renumbering. [4]

Proved by a record

160 West Ninth Street outside mapped number range

The 1912 index covers West Ninth Street only through no. 142, so it supplies no building description for the later no. 160 address. This is a coverage statement, not an absence claim. [6]

Died

The paid notice fixes her death to Thursday, 14 May 1942; this replaces the earlier about-1942–1945 range. [2]

Proved by a record

Died at son John’s home

The companion obituary places her death at son John Leahy’s home, 160 West Ninth Street, after a short illness; the paid notice independently uses that address as the funeral departure point. [1]

Funeral and burial

The Monday funeral left from son John’s home, with a 9 a.m. requiem high mass at St. Andrew’s Church and burial in Holy Name Cemetery under Thomas M. O’Brien & Son’s direction. [2]
