Ryan and they had at least one son, Michael. All three are cut into one monument at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, in Block 11, Section B, Grave 171.

An upright granite stone reading RYAN, carrying Charles M. 1898-1972, Michael C. 1928-1990 and Elizabeth M. 1906-1984 — a husband, a son and a wife. Above the names a carved panel shows two haloed figures flanking a child beneath a descending dove, with an IHS cross and a rosary cut into each side pillar and a band of flowers across the top. It is a far grander stone than the flat slab her brother's family took at Toms River, and it is in the old ground: Block 11, Section B, Grave 171, the same cemetery as her grandparents Dennis Leahey and Ann Galvin. The stone is also where Michael came from — he was not in this archive until it was read.
