She married John Finn, an Irish immigrant, and they raised ten children in Jersey City. In April 1950 the census finds her at house number 542, aged thirty-nine, with eight of the children at home and her widowed mother Catherine, then seventy-six, living with them. She died on 11 July 1999.

David Fitzgerald, 42, head, born Ireland, arrived 1897; Catherine, 42, wife, born Ireland; and three children born in New Jersey — Margaret 9, Mary 7 and John 6. Her age of nine in January 1920 supports the 1910 birth the family tree gives.
