Margaret Boyle was a daughter of Patrick Boyle, farmer, of Gartbratten, County Cavan. She married Patrick Farrelly of Clara on 8 May 1879 at Miltown chapel. She died at Clara on 9 April 1928 aged 70, ten months after her husband, of a cerebral haemorrhage lasting three days with no doctor in attendance. Her daughter Ellen O'Brien, of Ardlogher, was present at the death.

Positive controls in the same corpus include “Owen Farrelly,” “Farrelly | Bernard | Kilsob,” and ordinary Boyle and Reilly entries, so surname matching worked. [NEGATIVE] Research audit: 3,729 Templeport baptism rows were parsed; Boyle appeared only twice as a positive surname control; no Patrick Farrelly–Margaret Boyle couple and no 1880 Farrelly baptism appeared. This is a controlled Templeport-register negative, not evidence about Kildallen parish.

- [NEGATIVE] The full workhouse walk recovered seven Boyle entries but none was Margaret or had a Farrelly relative, Clara address or family identifier.
- [INFERENCE — UNPROVED] Marriage witness Bridget Boyle was probably related and may have been Margaret’s sister, but the register does not say so. Do not attach the Bawnboy workhouse Bridget Boyle who died 23 April 1888, spinster, 30, chair woman, Corlough; she is a possible match only.
