Dennis Leahey

This entry is about Dennis Leahey (Born about 1908; death not recorded). For other family members with the same first and family name, see Dennis C. Leahey (about 1867 (compiled) – 22 September 1957), Dennis C. Leahey (10 May 1890 – about 1968 (compiled)), Dennis Leahey (about 6 April 1837 – 26 April 1907).

Born about 1908; death not recorded

Dennis Leahey was born about 1908 at Bayonne, a son of Dennis C. Leahey and Ellen T. Reilly, and the fourth of that name in a direct line — after his great-grandfather the captain, his grandfather, and his father. He was two years old when the 1910 census found the family in Bayonne Ward 4. **He was not in this archive at all** until that census sheet was read: his father's obituary, which is where the other children came from, does not name him, which may mean he died before 1957.

Historical context

What we still don't know

  • Whether he lived. He is absent from his father's 1957 obituary, which named the other children, and from the 1930 census. A New Jersey death record for a Dennis Leahey between 1910 and 1957 would explain it.
