A German immigrant household took shape on Bayonne’s industrial waterfront. Rosa’s 1880 arrival from Rotterdam and 1881 marriage are now documented, moving the brick wall back to her exact German birthplace and the unsourced parent leads Bernard Antretner and Margareth Pfeiffer.

He was the ninth and youngest child of George Hoffman and Rosine Antretner, and his eight brothers and sisters ranged from six to eighteen. He was not in this archive until that sheet was read.
