Emma Seelig was born in New York about 1916, the younger daughter of Louis Seelig and Sarah Moore, and was fourteen and living with them in Brooklyn in 1930. She married **George Yelverton** before 1935, and in 1940 the two of them were in Brooklyn with their daughters Janet and Marylou and with her widowed father in the house. She outlived her elder sister Florence, who died at Ocala in August 1997 and whose obituary names her as a surviving sister.
