18 April 1904 – January 1996
Howard Graham Jones was born in New York on 18 April 1904. By 1935 he had settled at **Great Neck** on the north shore of Long Island, and he was still there in 1940 and 1950 — the 1940 census puts the household inside Great Neck Village, in the district bounded by Middle Neck Road and Beach Road and taking in the Great Neck Preparatory School. He married **Helen Brown** and they had three children. He died in January 1996 at **Sea Cliff**, a few miles further along the same shore, aged ninety-one. He had no sources at all in this archive until today; the Social Security index confirms to the day a birth date that had been carried only as family compilation.

What we still don't know
- His parents. This archive names them as Howard Graham Jones and Anna Bateman on family testimony; no record found today names either, and both remain unsourced.
- His burial. Neither the Social Security index nor the censuses give it, and no Find a Grave memorial has been matched.
