The club’s newspaper notices connect a Pinelands hunting place to members and social events closer to Camden.
The club recruited in the newspaper
A March 1955 notice records Carmen Mancuso’s installation as president and advertises a membership drive. It describes a clubhouse accommodating fifty members during deer season and available hunting grounds. The society places the club’s Pinelands property on Powell Place Road in Tabernacle. Headquarters were elsewhere
A later notice announces the annual dance at Beechwood and Chapel avenues in Delaware Township, from 8:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. That address should not be mistaken for the Tabernacle hunting clubhouse. The archive caption gives 1955, while its image filename says June 9, 1959; the cropped clipping has no printed date to settle the discrepancy. Dance notice.
A club was more than a hunting season
Officers, recruitment and a dance together reveal the organization needed to sustain collective recreation. The notices do not establish that the dance was a fundraiser, how many attended or what it earned. Those questions require club minutes or accounts.

The three clipping images were read directly. Newspaper identifications follow the host collection. The society’s uncertain 1969 fire story is not adopted.
