Clinical psychologist Dorothy Lush addressed Central Jersey optometrists on mental health and the relationship between visual problems and juvenile delinquency.
The meetings
One advance notice identified Lush as affiliated with the Mental Hygiene Clinic of Red Bank and New Jersey State Hospital at Marlboro. It scheduled her talk, “The Relation of Visual Problems to Juvenile Delinquency,” for 7 p.m. Monday at Howard Johnson’s at the Cloverleaf before the Central New Jersey Optometric Society.
A second item reported that she spoke on “Mental Hygiene” at a Woodbridge Howard Johnson’s to the Central Jersey Optometric Society and its Ladies Auxiliary. During the auxiliary meeting, president Mrs. George McEneany of Asbury Park received a national-auxiliary report read by secretary Mrs. Herbert Moore of Perth Amboy. Mrs. Nathan Millman of Dover was announced as the next speaker; twenty members attended.
