FACTORY TOPOLOGY / UNFITTED REFERENCE

Outside the
throttle spindle.

A separate millimeter-scale CAD comparison now connects the existing spindle datum to an external lever, paired links, bellcrank, cable bracket and two return springs. The local cable ends before any remote pedal route. This is a static assembly comparison; it does not simulate operation.

The source spindle end is at X −130, Y 55, Z −40 mm in the maintained engine reconstruction. The lever hub retains that axis; its estimated bore does not establish a fitted shaft clamp or running fit. Two parallel link plates and separate pin envelopes connect the lever and bellcrank. The bracket, spring-anchor cues and cable eye remain a mounting hypothesis rather than a trace of this car’s hardware.

Keep the catalog branches separate

Factory Parts-1977, PDF p. 124 separates the Federal-to-1977 branch from the California / Federal-1977-on bracket, ball-end and rod branch. The modeled comparison follows the former: UKC673 bracket, 154117 bellcrank, 153417 throttle lever, two 156572 links and two return-spring relationships. These part numbers identify the drawing, not the fitted pieces.

Owner IMG_7035 and IMG_7037 show the carburetor side, a bracket eye and nearby external hardware. They provide direct visual context without calibrating dimensions or confirming this catalog branch. The partially visible adjuster-like and lower features are not assigned throttle or choke identities. Fuel, breather, distributor and anti-run-on hoses remain separate evidence questions; the 1975–77 breather topology is documented on PDF p. 68.

Rehearse the relationships

Select or isolate the bracket, lever, links and springs to see which reference pieces connect the engine-side controls. The general separation view carries all seven new groups with the engine’s common display translation, preserving their source relationship. It does not disconnect a cable, unload springs, rotate the throttle or establish a replacement sequence. The surrounding air cleaner, manifold, hoses and body remain obstacles to examine; visibility is not verified access.

Static geometry has explicit limits

Every new bracket contour, thickness, fixing location, lever ratio, clocking, spring form/anchor, pin size and cable shape is estimated. Fitted linkage variant, spring force, retention, idle stop, choke control, adjustment, full travel, reliable return and verified removal path remain unresolved. Existing source/body placement is unregistered. Passing STEP and endpoint checks validates the reference construction only.

The separate export preserves the maintained core engine and its dimensions. Its metadata records static intersections against the existing estimated carburetor body and air-cleaner housing. Those pair checks cover neither the complete surroundings nor moving travel; any overlap is a reconstruction conflict, never a fitted-car clearance result.

Driver-side reference added

The 1500 LHD accelerator study now supplies the previously missing pedal-with-lever comparison and a short open local wire/sheath. It does not join the remote end of this Federal-to-1977 carburetor comparison. Cable identity, body crossing, actual route and full return/operating relationships remain unresolved; no end-to-end cable or actuation is simulated.
