William White was born in Ireland about 1834 and married **Alice Stilwell Wilson**, a widow of 39, at Manhattan on 23 November 1876. A **Jas. White** appears on the same record and is probably his father or brother. Alice was a widow again by 1906, so he died between those dates. He is an Irishman marrying into an old Dutch New Jersey family, which is the only such crossing in this part of the archive.
