Person in this family
Vincent Horan
15 June 1912 – 23 October 1985
Vincent De Paul Horan was born on 15 June 1912 and christened at Jersey City that August. His father was **John Horan** and his mother **Ann Hogan**, and the 1920 census finds him in Hudson County in their house with **nine brothers and sisters** — Arthur, Thomas, Joseph, George, Gladys, Violet, John, Catherine and Anna. He died in Hudson County in October 1985. **He is not a son of Frank Horan and Bridget Cooney**, as this archive had him until August 2026, and he is therefore no longer connected to this family at all. He is kept, and this page says why.

What we still don't know
- Dates and places of birth and death
- Occupation and residences
- Independent confirmation of the listed identity and relationships
- [DETACHED — HE WAS NEVER A RELATIVE] This archive had him as a son of **Frank Horan and Bridget Cooney**, and flagged that as *compiled*, meaning nobody had checked it. Three records now say otherwise and agree with one another: his **christening** gives John and Ann Hogan; the **1920 census** puts him in John and Anna Horan's household with nine siblings; and the **Social Security index** gives a Vincent Horan born 15 June 1912 dying in Hudson County in October 1985, which are this archive's own dates for him. The parentage has been removed. He stays on the site because deleting a wrong attachment silently is how it gets made again.
- Whether **Frank Horan and Bridget Cooney had a son named Vincent at all**. They may have, and he may be a different man; or the name may have been imported into their family from this one by whoever compiled it. Their other recorded children should be tested the same way — both are flagged *compiled* too.
- His own family: he is recorded with two wives, Hedy and Marie, and a daughter, none of them sourced.
