Marie Spatarella
7 August 1936 (compiled) – 9 July 2018 (compiled)
Marie Spatarella was born on 7 August 1936 and died on 9 July 2018, aged eighty-one. She was the wife of Salvatore A. Spatarella, with whom she shares one grave at Pinelawn — established from the Smithtown tax rolls, which list a lot held by “Spatarella Salvatore & Marie”, and from her mother's obituary. She outlived him by forty-one years. Her family name was Ardi. Her mother, born 1914 and eighteen years a resident of Kings Park, died in January 1977 leaving “two daughters, Marie Spatarella of St. James and Gloria Noest of Kings Park; a son, Joseph of Bayside; a brother, Stephen Ardi of Jackson Heights; three sisters, Carmella Ardi…”. That obituary is also what explains a 1965 newspaper item calling Gerald Noest her husband's brother-in-law. After Salvatore died in March 1977 she is named as the owner of All American Refuse Removal Corp., the firm he had been secretary-treasurer of.

Timeline
Named as a surviving daughter in her mother's obituary
Her mother was born in 1914 and had lived at Kings Park for eighteen years. The Ardi names give Marie her family name, and her sister Gloria's marriage to a Noest explains the brother-in-law of the 1965 item. [4]

Historical context
These background articles explain the places, work, and events in this entry.
What we still don't know
- [HER PARENTS ARE WITHIN REACH] Her mother's obituary of 13 January 1977 is on the page but her given name was not captured in the portion read — the clipping should be re-read in full. The family is Ardi, of Kings Park, with a brother Stephen at Jackson Heights and a sister Carmella; a son Joseph at Bayside; a daughter Gloria Noest. No Ardi has been created here.
- [HER 2018 OBITUARY SHOULD EXIST] She died 9 July 2018 in an era of online funeral notices. It would name her parents, her husband's family and her children, and is the single cheapest way to test whether this couple belongs to Gina Cacace's Spatarellas at all.
