Round two: fifteen THS stories — 7 September 2026
Round two: fifteen THS stories — 7 September 2026
All fifteen entries are new subjects in this round, not recounts of prior updates. Shared indexes/changelog are owned by root. round-two-ths-items.json is the integration ledger.
Source accounting and scope
Short original narratives, generally one or two documented episodes each. Reused essays were kept below aggregate source limits, including the earlier survey: Kemble is the main reused synthesis; oral-history collection receives only a brief additional memoir summary. Primary historical documents and separately attributed firsthand accounts are identified as such, not treated as modern THS prose. The archaeology report counts as one source across all inspected pages. No copyrighted clipping image is republished.
Entries and verification
1. burr-haines-indigenous-household
File: pinebarrens/entry/burr-haines-indigenous-household.html
Inspected report cover, title/author form, abstract, contents, artifact plates and faunal discussion. Downloaded additional pages and OCR-read selected pages. Stage labels on catalog form and abstract differ; entry avoids simplifying the project sequence. Report is one source collectively, not a fresh allowance per scan. Further full-report interpretation and tribal consultation would strengthen the account.

2. tabernacle-ame-cemetery

3. tabernacle-winter-school-1815

4. union-school-cordwood-walk
File: pinebarrens/entry/union-school-cordwood-walk.html
Read dedicated page in full. Earlier report given priority over modern heading for attribution, while discrepancy is explicit. Cordwood account attributed to the reproduced 1936 educational-news passage, not a newly located school-board record.

5. friendship-sawmill-school-home
File: pinebarrens/entry/friendship-sawmill-school-home.html
Read dedicated page, distinguishing Fitzpatrick thesis from Spaeth resident recollection. Date remains an attributed later account. This building is separate from both Friendship Bogs and the moved 1909 Tabernacle school.

6. friendship-bogs-school-preservation
File: pinebarrens/entry/friendship-bogs-school-preservation.html
Read Gerber memoir, Allen restoration speech and society narrative. The two distinct firsthand accounts are not counted as corroborating a precise move date when they disagree. No new contemporary construction record located.

7. kemble-inn-public-life
File: pinebarrens/entry/kemble-inn-public-life.html
Used dedicated essay, already browsed during previous survey; earlier use concerned name disambiguation only. New narrative limits aggregate derivative prose and omits uncertain White family identity/legal interpretations.

8. sooy-place-pine-tavern
File: pinebarrens/entry/sooy-place-pine-tavern.html
Inspected will image directly. Ownership language does not establish builder. Essay and will are separate source types; old HABS attribution is not adopted.

9. eagle-hotel-barnhart-tract
File: pinebarrens/entry/eagle-hotel-barnhart-tract.html
Read full dedicated study; also inspected early survey image but narrative relies on attributed synthesis rather than pretending the crop independently verifies the whole deed chain. Maylin/Miller phonetic explanation not accepted.

10. tabernacle-harvest-home
File: pinebarrens/entry/tabernacle-harvest-home.html
Read landing narrative via HTTP after browser cache error; inspected three Mount Holly News clippings separately. Dates from hosting captions, internal event dates from images. Conflicting annual numbering is meaningful, not silently corrected.

11. tabernacle-volunteer-fire-company
File: pinebarrens/entry/tabernacle-volunteer-fire-company.html

12. tabernacle-rescue-squad-origins

13. tabernacle-mechanics-hall
File: pinebarrens/entry/tabernacle-mechanics-hall.html

14. tabernacle-funeral-invitations
File: pinebarrens/entry/tabernacle-funeral-invitations.html
Independently viewed all three cards used. Primary words, dates and kinship distinguished from catalog metadata. The age discrepancy is not solved by inventing a birth year. No ticket-only funeral custom asserted.

15. medford-farms-community
File: pinebarrens/entry/medford-farms-community.html

Follow-up priorities
The AME project’s full Pinelands GPR report would allow direct comparison with Corey’s summary. The school source conflicts require original board/deed records. Full newspaper pages would provide stronger dates for captioned clips. The archaeological artifact interpretation deserves a full technical reading beyond the inspected methods, abstract and plates, with contemporary Indigenous perspectives. These are documented limits, not claims that all archive work has been completed.
Validation: parsed all fifteen pages; one h1 each, factbox, dated entry header, sources and Updates navigation. All local outgoing links checked against repository files/directories. No count/catalog edits by this agent.
